At the space museum in Alamogordo, New Mexico, they had Col. Stapps ride 
which was essentially a chair on railroad wheels with a bunch of JATO 
bottles strapped on the back. Don't know if it is still there or not.

We actually installed JATO boittles in the engine nacelles as a
factory optoin for a while,  It provided the equivalent of around 200
hp for better engine out performance.
